Researcher (RTDb) in Stratigraphic Geology and Sedimentology at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences (BiGeA), University of Bologna. I hold a BSc and MSc in Geological Sciences and a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Bologna. My research focuses on stratigraphic and paleoenvironmental reconstructions of Quaternary alluvial, coastal, and continental shelf successions. I have applied sequence stratigraphy concepts to geotechnical and hydrostratigraphic studies, aiming at the assessment of soil geotechnical properties, the identification and mapping of shallow aquifers, and the estimation of sediment volumes. I have actively participated in national and international research projects, serving as work package leader.
