Graduated in Geological Sciences from the University of Pisa in 1996, PhD in Applied Geology, Geomorphology and Hydrogeology at Perugia University in 2001, Alessandro Chelli has been a Full Professor of Physical Geography and Geomorphology at the Department of Chemistry, Life Sciences and Environmental Sustainability of Parma University since 2023. He has been participating in and leading national and international projects. His main topics of interest are related to slope evolution and coastal environments where he has applied the use of geomorphological, geoarchaeological and biological indicators in the study of coastal evolution and sea level change. His study area has been the Italian coast and the mountain belt (Apennines and Alps).
